In 2019 Richard co-founded Kyoto Fusioneering, a company with a mission to progress global fusion by commercialising advanced fusion technologies, including plasma heating systems, tritium fuel cycle technologies, and breeding blankets for tritium production and power generation. Richard plays a pivotal role in the development of the company's innovation strategy, catalysing product development and fostering key stakeholder relationships, whilst also supporting cutting-edge R&D.
